Over the past few years, Bitcoin has increased its dominance of the cryptocurrency industry and as a result, now stands out on it’s own.

The launch of the Bitcoin ETFs in the US has accelerated the mainstream acceptance of Bitcoin as its own asset class and investors are increasingly looking at it as a form of digital gold. Global investment giant BlackRock recently launched a paper talking about the solid investment properties of Bitcoin which has reaffirmed our views as a digital form of gold.

As a result, we have now made the decision that we will not be looking to invest in alternative cryptocurrency assets and therefore it is appropriate to rename this as the Kōura Bitcoin Fund.

This change will more accurately reflect the fund’s primary focus around Bitcoin!

It’s important to stress that this rebranding is simply a change of name, and does not affect the fund’s structure, strategy, or objectives. The Kōura Bitcoin Fund has only ever invested in Bitcoin and will continue to offer the same, carbon-neutral approach, providing investors with a responsible and sustainable way to gain exposure to Bitcoin. We remain committed to minimising the environmental impact of our investments by ensuring that the fund’s activities are carbon neutral. This focus on sustainability remains a core part of our ethos, and the fund continues to provide a transparent, well-managed investment vehicle for those looking to invest in Bitcoin without compromising on environmental responsibility.
